Visit Gifu and explore Hidatakayama & Shirakawago from Nagoya this fall to enjoy the idyllic view of the traditional Japanese countryside with your friends or family!     This tour departs from Nagoya Station, and will take you to Gifu Prefecture to explore the Takayama and Shirakawago area by bus. After arriving at Takayama, you will have the Hida beef shabu-shabu set meal, which is a special menu available only in Gifu. The set meal includes the thinly sliced top-quality Hida beef boiled quickly in flavoured broth. Note: If you don’t eat beef, please let us know at the time of booking. Its substitute menu can be arranged by the restaurant based on the availability. Your request can be accepted until 7 days prior to your departure. Visit Hida Takayama, which is usually called Takayama, an area located in northern Gifu prefecture, which is famous for its Sanno-machi Historic District and the Takayama Festival. Takayama, which is popularly called as “Little Kyoto” accommodates many historical places. Enjoy exploring Takayaka Jinya, Hida Folk Museum, and Hida no Sato and learn the traditional culture of Takayama. Explore Shirakawago, a village located at the food of Mt. Hakusan in Gifu prefecture, which is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. Explore the “Gassho-zukuri Farmhouse Village” to enjoy its beautiful scenery. The village is made up of 27 thatched roof houses, which have been relocated from several areas in Shirakawago. The village preserves the classic atmosphere of the area with a temple, a coalhouse, and a horse paddock. Enjoy watching the live performances of traditional industrial arts like dyeing and weaving, and don’t forget to stop by the souvenir shop to buy Shirokawago’s famous soba.
